Micah Starzer

Private Equity Analyst

Micah is a graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a B.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering and emphasis in economics. She is a second-generation oil and gas industry family with experience in oil and gas operations, reservoir engineering and project investment evaluation. Beginning in 1999, Micah’s family founded six energy companies that acquired and developed conventional and unconventional oil and gas assets located primarily in California and the Rocky Mountains and Mid-Continent regions. Micah was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, attending Stockdale Christian School and Bakersfield Christian High School before moving to Colorado with her family completing a successful IPO of their fourth company, Bonanza Creek Energy, Inc. While attending the School of Mines in Colorado, Micah mentored under the Reservoir Engineering Manager for Fifth Creek Energy Company, assisting in development planning and investment evaluation for horizontal, multi-stage fracture stimulation opportunities in Colorado. Upon completion of her education at Mines in 2018, Micah moved back to her hometown of Bakersfield to pursue a career in finance with focus on energy investment opportunities. Micah joined the Woodward Diversified Capital team in May 2020 and serves as a Private Equity Analyst.
